01What we store on your device
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (“local storage”) is similar, but stays on your device and isn’t sent to the website automatically. CalmStamp uses both, sparingly, and only for things the service needs to work:
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Cookie (essential) | Keeps you signed in, and proves to our servers that requests come from you | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
calmstamp:scan:v1 | Local storage | Holds your free Case Scan answers so they can start your case when you sign up. Never sent to us before then | Until you sign up with it or clear your browser |
calmstamp:preflight-ok | Local storage | Remembers that your microphone and connection check passed, so you aren’t asked every time | Until you clear your browser |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Security check | Tells people from bots on the sign-up and sign-in pages. It may read browser signals and store a short-lived token | Minutes |
02What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking cookies, no social media pixels, and no cookies from anyone who would follow you around the web. We count page visits and measure page speed with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and can’t identify you; we remove everything after the page address before it’s counted. The rest we learn from our own server records, which our Privacy notice describes.
04Your control
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to stay signed in. Questions: privacy@calmstamp.com.
